Scenara was a fully functional prediction-market simulation that let users trade on real-world outcomes — crypto prices, Brazilian politics, global sports, macro events — with a simulated wallet and zero real money at stake. It never launched publicly because the founder concluded that prediction-market regulation in its target markets would not ease in time to make a launch viable, and chose to wind down rather than build toward a blocked release.

The product that never met its market

Scenara generated markets hourly from live price feeds and news data. Each market's probability drifted on a five-minute random walk so charts remained active between updates. A settlement engine resolved outcomes automatically, paid winners according to their entry probability, and recorded every balance change to an immutable audit ledger. Users tracked performance through PnL, a Brier-score accuracy grade (0–100), win streaks, XP, levels, and a global leaderboard. A follow/feed social graph and market comment threads sat on top.
