What it was
SEOAgent read your website, learned what you sold and who bought it, and found the Google queries you could realistically rank for. Each query came back as a proposed article with an angle and the questions readers asked, scored for winnability. It wrote full drafts — title, meta description and FAQ — checked them against SEO and AI-search rules, published straight to your CMS, submitted pages for indexing, and tracked rankings, clicks and AI-answer mentions with real Search Console data. Built for founders and small teams who wanted organic traffic without running a content operation.
We built the full loop — keyword discovery, drafting, publishing, rank tracking — but growth never covered the API and indexing costs. Freemium signups came in, almost nobody upgraded, and we ran out of runway before retention could catch up. Biggest mistake: We over-built the autopilot before proving anyone would pay for it. Should have sold the keyword reports as a service first. Retention / experiments: Most churned after the first free articles when rankings took months to move. We tried faster onboarding and a done-for-you tier — activation improved, payment didn't.
Charge earlier and charge more — founders will pay for traffic outcomes, not for drafts. We should have niched down to one CMS and one vertical instead of building the general tool.
