What actually happened

I launched SmartCards in 2023 after realizing this can really help my own school, I tried to get my own school on-board, which suceeded, and it spreadt like wildfire, SmartCards got momentum very quickly, we raised a seed fund, but lacked the knowledge to facilitate the growth that such startup really needed. -- We grew still to nearly all of Aruba, then expanded to Curacao, copied lessons from "Wela school systems" in Philipines also expanding, but we offerred less services, still was wanted by schools due to us producing alot of value, but after some time, motivation died, and discipline did not maintain, we only earn money once a year due to our bad business model of annual subscription instead of monthly, which caused sometimes us to have money problems at the end of the school year (waiting desperately for the new school year) -- i would get into computer vision attendance tracking now, so using the current attendance system and pairing the reputation with computer vision, this can get the startup really up again and going.

Why users churned / experiments tried

Maintained customers for years long, but motivation died after two years of growth, we grew to two islands, and then decided to shut donw.

Biggest mistake

Lost of motivation, lack of adapting to customers requests

Lessons for the next founder
